Agriculture Institute of Ayer Hitam (IPAH) has been operating since 1974 and aims to provide in agricultural training under funding from the World Bank.

This institute has 172 hectares of space / land covering plantation areas, training plantation, administration building, dormitory, quarters, PLPP Ayer Hitam, Southern Territory Integrated Laboratory and TKPM project.

The student dormitory can accommodate 90 students at the male dormitory and 90 students at the female dormitory. Other available facilities are the Main Hall which is able to accommodate up to 200 people, air-conditioned lecture rooms, Computer room, Meeting Room, and Library.
