Whalebone Junction is an area within Nags Head, North Carolina where three major highways converge. The junction marks the eastern terminus of both U.S. 64 and U.S. Route 158, and NC 12 traverses the junction.
Named after a local gas station that during the 50s-70s was adorned with bones from a whale that had washed ashore. Unfortunately the gas station burned down in the 70s but the name stuck.
