A modest size park just outside the annex, with a public outdoor pool, outdoor hockey rink, 2 small baseball diamonds, 1 full sized diamond (home of the Toronto Maple Leafs Baseball Club), a full soccer field, picnic area, playground, covered meeting place, basketball courts and it's right next to the christie TTC station.

It can be quite busy during baseball season, attacting hundreds of Maple Leaf fans. The large pool can be quite busy in the summer too. During the winter the skating rink in the northwest is open, and the hills on the north and eastern sides are popular tobogganing areas.

The park is built in a former sand pit, centered on the now-buried Garrison Creek. During the winter the Creek sometimes become apparent when the snow above it melts, leaving a trail cutting across the middle of the park from north to south.

Site of the notorious 1933 "Christie Pits Riot" that pitted Jews against pro-nazi anglos.
