It is a very small village near Shamli. The very historic importance of this place is from declining days of Mughal empire. It was about Ghulam Kadir, he was son of Zabita Khan(or Zabeta Khan - the son of Najibkhan Rohila). Around year 1788, he took possession of Delhi and looted it. Even he tortured, dishonoured Mughal Royal family members and blinded then emperor Shah Alam-II and imprisoned him. Marathas came to rescue of emperor. They freed him, installed on Royal seat and set-out for Ghulam Kadir. Ghulam Kadir ran here and there and tried to defend himself from small fort at Ghausgad. Marathas stormed the fort and raised it to dust. From there Ghulam managed to escape and was hiding at Bamnoli. Marathas got the intelligence about his whereabouts and captured him from this village and took him to Delhi for his trial at imperial court.
