Dixie National Forest is divided into four area with Red Canyon as the most diverse. It is near Bryce Canyon National Park, Zion National Park, and the Grand Staircase Escalante National Monument. Red sandstones will grab your attention as you enter Red Canyon. This is not what you expect to see in a National Forest. There are some fun hikes in Red Canyon including the Birds Eye Trail. This is a moderate .8 mile hike that takes hikers up close to red rock formations. The 3 mile Losee Canyon Trail takes hikers past some select rock formations.
