  Can someone tell me the geology and/or history behind this “Pine Seamount”? Is the name of Pine indicative of its creation? I see this ear shaped underwater isle on google maps. I saw an article about this on a Lansing radio station website speculating on what it is. The geology of Isle Royale would have to be older, meaning the glaciers did not form this. I it measures roughly 3.5 miles by 2.5 miles. So what did form the Pine Seamount? Email, mrjbvl1973@gmail.com
