Comments

  • The Capitol, built from 1922-32 contains the largest collection of the sculpture of Lee Lawrie in the world. It was once judged the fourth most beautiful building in the world. I have pictures of Lawrie's sculpture at my website, www.bisonwerks.com.
  • It is the second tallest capital building in the U.S.
  • This was the only state capitol building that was fully paid for at the time of its completion.
