Former synagogue in the East End of London. It was established in 1899 and rebuilt in 1950 after German bombing. The neighboring East London Mosque was built in the 1980s and care was taken to not enshroud the synagogue in darkness. In 2010, the mosque provided a grant to help pay to fix the synagogue roof.
In 2015, the synagogue was closed and sold due to lack of local congregants. The surrounding East London Mosque bought the property in 2015. The building was repurposed into a Zakat Centre, although the original synagogue signage remains above the door.
