This is the Real place where Sita was abandoned by Laxman as commanded by Lord Ram. Valmiki's Ashram is situated just one km away from his nativle village. When Sita was destined for her second exile, she was pregnant. She gave birth to the twins Luv and Kush in this very ashram of Valmiki. The saint created the epic Ramayana at this ashram and it was recited by the young Luv and Kush during their visit to Ayodhya.
