Spring reservoir is located in the city of Golmud in Qinghai Province southeast of 127km Golmud River, a tributary of the Snow River to Golmud River key water conservancy project. The reservoir to regulate the runoff, increased downstream of the cascade hydropower stations (Dagangou, Xiaogangou, Naijiri, Nanshankou four levels) guarantee output, improve the power quality based, taking into account the flood control. It is a large (II) type reservoir project.

The elevation of reservoir dam crest is 3960.8m, with a maximum dam height of 17.5m, dam length of 880m, top width 8m, the total volume capacity for 255 million cubic meters, the normal water level for 3956.40m, backwater length for 16km. Control basin area of 9374 square kilometers.

温泉水库位于青海省格尔木市东南127KM的格尔木河支流的雪水河上，为格尔木河上的重要水利枢纽工程。该水库以调节径流、增加下游各梯级水电站 (大干沟、小干沟、乃吉里、南山口四级)保证出力、提高发电质量为主，同时兼顾防洪，属大（Ⅱ）型水库枢纽工程。

水库大坝坝顶高程3960.8m，最大坝高17.5m，主坝长 880m，顶宽8m，总库容为2.55亿立方米，正常蓄水位为3956.40m，回水长度为16KM。控制流域面积9374平方千米。
