Where we have areas of lower conservation value, we use them to benefit our farm step tenants who produce local goods based on sustainable land management techniques.

These grassland areas are managed by hay cutting and grazing by our Farm Step sheep and cattle farmers. This grazing management is essential to maintain and increase the species diversity of invertebrates and plants within our wildflower meadows which make up approximately 65ha of the total grassland area
