park, hill, nature conservation park / area
The highest naturally formed location in the local area, the Wittenham Clumps overloook much of south Oxfordshire and the surrounding Thames Valley. It supposedly got its name from the local term for the groups of trees at the summits, 'clumps'.
The land is owned by the Earth Trust and is fully open to the public. The hill is used for various pass times, including sledging, go-karting, kite flying and even para-gliding.
