Zangezur, a specially protected nature area in Syunik region of Armenia. Founded in 2009 October 15 (Government Decision N 1187-N). It has an area of 17 368.77 hectares, on the eastern slopes of Bargushat mountain range and eastern slopes of Zangezur mountain range, at an altitude of 2600-3904 m above sea level. Formed to protect grassland, sub-alpine and alpine ecosystems.
