Beaverland Camp was built at the turn of the century and became a fishing lodge in the 1920's. It is steeped in tradition and, in those early days, those who came to Beaverland Camp loved the wilderness and entered it humbly taking with them only memories - leaving nothing behind but their footprints.
Your hosts, Albert and Dorothy Cloet invite you to visit that same wilderness -- changeless but ever changing.
Come look for the little things. Enjoy the perfume of the forest. Listen for the quiet sounds. Watch the sunset. Count the stars. Be silent and savor the solitude of a woodland clearing. Enjoy these simple things at Beaverland Camp and, in the words of naturalist John Muir, " Nature's peace will flow into you as sunshine flows into the trees. The winds will blow their freshness into you, while cares drop off you like autumn winds ."
At Beaverland Camp, in addition to the simple pleasures that have made this century old lodge so inviting year after year, there are plenty of other activities to make your holiday a most memorable one.
Enjoy a leisurely hike through the sun-sprinkled woodlands on one of our many nature trails, relax in the cool shade as the "little ones" explore our greenspace and perhaps challenge the family to a game of horseshoes - a game older than Beaverland Camp itself!
When you're ready to cool off, refresh yourself in the water on our safe beach.
And there is no need to leave Beaverland Camp for those often forgotten sundries. We provide fishing licenses, live bait, tackle, gas and oil, articles of clothing, and even a laundromat!
If you are bringing your own boat, you are allowed one docking space per cabin rental.
Additional boats will be charged a daily fee of $5.00 or $30.00 per week. Taxes are extra. Please Note: Jet skis are not permitted at the camp.
Pets are welcome for an extra charge of $5 per day or $30 per week; must be people- and pet- friendly. Sorry, no pit bulls or aggressive breeds permitted. We ask you to keep your pet tied up at all times and to walk your pet on a leash. We also ask you to clean up after your pet, and please don't leave them unattended inside or outside your cottage.
