Film set built in 1960 depicting the Mision San Antonio de Valero (the Alamo) as it would have appeared in 1836. Also has a depiction of the town of San Antonio de Bejar in 1836.

  • Numerous westerns have been filmed here besides "The Alamo" including "Bandalero" and the "Lonesome Dove" series (old San Antonio).
  • The cost of building the Alamo replica was born entirely by John Wayne. At one point, he ran out of money, so construction had to wait to resume after he had made another movie.
