Mesar Kund (Mesar Pond) and Mesar Forest Plateau, in the Van Panchayat of Sarmoli
This new portion of Mesar Kund was rejuvenated between 2003 and 2009 by the Van Panchayat of Sarmoli , under the Aegis of the Sarpanch (Council Chief) Ms Malika Virdi. People from the Sarmoli , Nanasem, Shankhdhura, villages workedcontributed many days of voluntary work and subsequently support from some other agencies , NGO's and the Forest Department has helped create this beautiful forest pond and an open air creative arts stage. Annually in May a forest fair is held to celebrate the forest and the pond of Mesar.
