When it was first announced last year that Elford Development planned to redevelop the United Dairy Farmers store and adjacent parking lot at the corner of High Street and East First Avenue, no promises were made about the convenience store being included in the new building.

But, at Tuesday night’s Italian Village Commission meeting, it was confirmed that the store will occupy a spot at the southern end of the four-story development. Minor modifications to the design of the building were approved by the commission, including changes to the front and rear entrances of the UDF space. The overall design for the building was approved by the commission in September.
