  This facility is actually the Faysh Khabur Oil Terminal and is the main export metering point for piped Iraqi / Kurdish crude oil prior to crossing the Turkish border and being pumped / piped to the Ceyhan Terminal on the Mediterranean coast. The lower part of the image shows trucks waiting to discharge their crude loads - but most of the oil being metered here arrives by pipeline. As of Nov 2015 the only pipeline delivering crude oil to this terminal is the one operated by the Kurdish Regional Government and which originates at the Northern part of the Kirkuk Crude Oil Reservoir known as the Khurmala Dome.
