The old site of Jardine Hall which was built by the Jardine family after they abandoned nearby Spedlins Tower, the mansion itself was destroyed in 1964, the Jardines had since moved down south and Jardine Hall had become too expensive to maintain so it was destroyed wtih dynamite. But the garden walls and the old stables still remain, they are now owned by farms who use it for livestock and to hold farming machinery. A small railway running towards Corncockle Quarry used to also run through here, the buildings associated with it have been converted into homes. There is a crypt for the Jardine family in the wooded area to the east of the site and a grave dedicated to a Newfoundland Retriever named Roy, who died in 1882
