The faculty was founded to produce competent-medical human resources with morality and integrity to provide health service for community. The establishment of the Faculty of Medicine was started from the appointment of the Faculty of Medicine Preparatory Board approved by The Minister of Education and Culture, The Republic of Indonesia on September 2nd, 1980. Since then, the prospective teaching staff was prepared in cooperation with Faculty of Medicine at more developed universities such as UGM and Airlangga University. Academic activities started after the faculty of Medicine was officially opened in April 1982. The fields of study currently available at this faculty are General Physician, Nursing, Dentistry, and Psychology.
