Woolco functioned as Meridian Mall's east anchor from 1969 to 1982. The store was gutted in 1983 for a food court and Service Merchandise. Service Merchandise closed in 1999 and was torn down for Jacobson's. Half of the former Woolco is still standing, now used for mall space.
