Concord, CA is also home to the famous Concord Pavilion, a nice outdoor concert venue for various types of music and some nice jazz events. It is also home to the World Famous Drum and Bugle Corps, the Blue Devils. The Blue Devils have won 12 Drum Corps International World Championships. Check them out on Youtube. They are far superior to any college or high school marching band, and their brass arranger, Wayne Downey, has not only helped to redefine marching charts for the marching band industry, but he wrote much of the music for the movie American Pie: Band Camp (which came out on video).
