Remains of the western one of the two dams that were built in Wadi Garawi in Pharaonic times similar to Sadd al Kafara some hundret meters up Wadi Garawi. Unfortunately due to construction works, this site was almost completely destroyed, presumably as the workers had no idea what they were doing. The photo shows the northern part of the dam with the big limestone blocks end of the 1990s.
