Former site of Rossford Arena project initiated by the Rossford Arena and Amphitheater Authority in the 1990s, which proposed the construction of a 12,000 seat arena and a 15,000 seat outdoor amphitheater. Negotiations were undertaken to relocate an existing NHL farm team to play in the new arena.

Although supported by Rossford, construction was commenced without sufficient financial backing in place. In 1999, construction ceased after an expenditure of $18 million, when funding dried up. Originally comprising approximately 1,000 acres the property was auctioned off in several smaller parcels in 2006. The Carpenters Union which had loaned money to the development became the owner of that part of the property containing the partially constructed amphitheater and arena foundations.
