Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh Virbhdra Singh inaugurated new building of Government College संगड़ाह (Sangrah) on 23rd of September 2015. Construction work of Degree College Building Sangrah was started in 2007. Its estimated cost is about 16,00,00,000 Rupees and area of College is 32.16 Bigha. Government Degree College Sangrah was established in 2006 by Government to fulfill the pending demand of the peoples of this area. Peoples of Sangrah Development Block started a movement in 2001 for demand of College at Sangrah and they form a presser group named College Sangharsh Samiti. Famous Environmentalist Kinkri Devi had also been demanded College at Sangrah from Govt. of India when she was awarded by Prime Minister of India in 2001. College Sangharsh Samiti went on 19 days Chain Hunger Strike from 10th to 27th of October, 2002 under the leadership of Kinkri Devi. Sangrah College is about 358 K.M. from Delhi, 161 K.M. from Shimla, 152 K.M. from Chandigarh, 65 K.M. from Rajgarh, 63 K.M. from Nahan and 25 K.M. from Renuka Ji (By Road). Only Arts faculty/BA courses are available here and about 300 students are getting education in this College during the session 2110-11. In HPU Youth Festival-2010 held at Govt. College Dhaliyara the College got first position in Folk Dance. Annual University Examination result of the College is about 99% in 2010-11. Sangrah is a Beautiful Town, Green Valley and Sub-Division of District Sirmour, Himachal Pradesh. Sangrah Town is about 358 K.M. from Delhi, 161 K.M. from Shimla, 152 K.M. from Chandigarh, 65 K.M. from Rajgarh, 63 K.M. from Nahan and 25 K.M. from Renuka Ji (By Road). Government Degree College Sangrah, SDM Office,Tehsil Office, BDO, HDO, ADO, BSNL Exchange, Police Station, Old House of National Awarded Kinkri Devi, Jawga Hils, Jawga Helipad, Rawlagarh Fort, Brah Forest, Bhagwan Parshuram Music School, Lord Vijat and Shiva Temple are the main attraction/Place of Sangrah. There are 41 Gram Panchayats in Sangrah Sub-Division.
