First laid out in 1924 (still only the second-oldest course at the Greenbrier), to a design by Seth Raynor. Redone in 1977 by Jack Nicklaus, in anticipation of hosting the 1979 Ryder Cup. Also hosted the 1994 Solheim Cup, making the Greenbrier one of only two courses to host both prestigious tournaments.
