Riverside Place, 7-10 Galway Road, Athlone
Two pairs of semi-detached three-bay single-storey railway worker's houses, built c.1880. Now in use as private dwellings.
Attractive group of railway worker's cottages associated with the former Midland and Great Western Railway Company. Well-built using snecked limestone, a style of masonry popular in railway architecture during the period of construction. Most have been altered in recent years with the loss of original features but they remain interesting examples of their type and date.
