Lower Wright Lake lies at the foot of Boulder Peak in an area of dry meadow and scattered pines. It's 26 acres in size, and 90 feet deep. A steep trail access the lake from the north, from the valley of the Scott River. And alternate access is possible via the Big Meadows trailhead to the southeast.
