Also known as Searles Cemetery, Old Burying Ground, and Daddy Frye's Hill Cemetery. Established in 1728, this historic cemetery is more commonly known as Meeting House Hill Cemetery, because the first meeting house for Methuen was built on this site. The first meeting house was built in 1728, and replaced in 1798. That second house then was removed in 1832 and replaced with the stone chapel, located in the southern part of the site, in 1855. The stone chapel uses some of the timbers from the 1798 structure. Eventually, the site became known as Daddy Frye's Hill, for one Jeremiah Frye, a local tavern owner, who is also buried here.

This cemetery is closed to the public.

National Register of Historic Places #84002320.
