  • Hasan Khan Mewati represented Meos in the battle of Kanwah along with Rana Sangram Singh (Rana Sangha)in 1526 against the Mughal Zahir ud-din Muhammad Babur. Hasan Khan and his Meo warriors gave a brave fight. Hasan Khan was killed in the battle of Kanwah while his son Tahir Khan was captured by the Mughals. Later on, Tahir Khan fled from the Mughal camp. The Mughal Emperor Babar has also written about Hasan Khan Mewati in his autobiography, Bāburnāma. To the Mughals, the Mewatis were "rebels". Later the British ethnographers termed them "criminal tribes".

MASHA ALLAH my family members are studying very well i m happy 2 see it ... and i always miss my lovely family whenever i lived away from my family members ...

  • Dear furkan, i felt nice 2 c ur comments ovr here on google wikipedia.i am also a brave meo fm haryana(Real Mewat).i dnt knw much abt mewatis in up.hwever i realised 1 thing fm my personal experience dat people fm real mewat r genuine in terms of finding dre roots & maintaing dre culture rather than mewatis fm up.I consider mewat as my family & meos as my brother and sisters.
  • its ur thinking my dear bro ali ,i think u r saying right actually in mewat there r in no. of meo comunity nd in up meo r not in one place they r living in between so many other caste so in up many peoples from other caste don't know even meo is a caste in muslims or not so pesonally i feel very bad about condition of my caste .but now coming genration really love their caste nd want 2 do popular meo comunity because many peoples in meo r taking intrest in studies rather that other thing . so INSHA ALLAH our meo caste will grow up like other caste in up . we so many frnd r taking seriously about their caste ....
