  • Over View of Ghonashi Ghonashi is a clean village in Karad Tehsil, Satara District in the state of Maharashtra. Ghonashi is located on Pune Bangalore Highway on the middle of Umbraj & Karad town. It is 10 KM away from Karad Tehsil & 50 KM from Satara District. It lays at the confluence of Krishna River which is surrounds the village. The Krishna River originates at Mahabaleshwar, which is around 100 km from Village Ghonashi. Ghonashi village is well known for social activities. There is one primary school in the village. It has a good social Library named Late Shri Laxmanrao Jijab Pisal Sarvajanik Vachanalay & Granthalay, Ghonashi. In our library almost more than 5000 books are available & more than 1000 members of this library. Goddess Janai , Vittal mandir, Maruti mandir, Biroba Mandir etc. are the main temples in the village.
