Publix #1661 opened in November 2018. The supermarket Publix replaced was open for over four decades, opening in 1974 as a Skaggs Albertsons (it became a regular Albertsons in the late 1970s) and converted to a Safeway in 2015 (after it hadn't been renovated since 1999). The store, #3304 (#4304 prior to 2015) had been the last Albertsons store in Central Florida when it was converted into a Safeway (officially rebranding in May 2016), and a Starbucks Coffee was added to the store during this time. A liquor store is also part of the supermarket but isn't physically connected to it due to state laws. The store closed in September 2018 but the Starbucks was reopened when it became Publix.
