The Village of Delta operates a Class III, 1.2 million gallon per day (MGD) microfiltration reverse osmosis integrated membrane water plant. The plant went into operation in September 2006. The 6.5 million dollar water plant replaced the 1931 water plant that had outlived its useful life. The water plant purifies water through the use of continuous microfiltration filters and reverse osmosis filters.
