Designed by architect, Wilson Eyre, the 280 acre home was completed in 1908 for heiress, Isabella Douglas Curtis. It was purchased in 2001 for $2.05M restored by Marc Shaw, bringing the nationally registered mansion's original chestnut paneling, limestone fireplaces, and a hand-carved marble staircase up to a level that allowed it to be rented for $1,800 a night. Purchased by Anderson Cooper, who is the current owner, in 2014.
