Southbury is a town in western New Haven County, Connecticut, USA. Southbury is north of Oxford and Newtown, and east of Brookfield. Its population was 19,904 at the 2010 census. Formerly a rural farming community, Southbury now plays host to a large IBM complex, Heritage Village (a senior living community), the Southbury Training School (a facility for developmentally disabled individuals), the Bullet Hill School House, which is one of the first schoolhouses built in the US in colonial times that still survives today, and several parks. It's also next to the beautiful scenery of Kettletown State Park, breathtaking Southford Falls, and has several covered bridges and numerous centuries-old stone walls.
