place with historical importance, cooperative, interesting place, holiday park

Built in the 1890's, Revelstoke Coombe formed part of the large estate of Lord Revelstoke then Chairman of Barings Bank. A philanthropist and benefactor, he was responsible for the distinctive and charming architecture of many buildings - St Peter's Church, cottages, farms, lodges, houses - in and around Noss Mayo. In the 1920's and onwards the land was used by the growing Plymouth Mutual Co-operative society as a worker's holiday camp. Today the land is used as a mobile home complex.
