Igumanova palace is well known building in Terazije street in Belgrade. It was built in 1938., in the style of modernism, and designed by architects Peter and Branko Krstic. It was built by Sima Andrejevic Igumanov (1804-1882), Serbian retailer and a major philanthropist.
The building was declared in a 1977. for cultural monument in the city of Belgrade.
On the facade of the building is the inscription: "Foundation Sime Andrejevića Igumanova Prizrenians". Since Sima, 1872. Built in Prizren theological school for teachers, this palace was built in Terazije to create an endowment that would provide regular income and thus ensure the permanent operation of the seminary.
Palace is a modernized version of the Serbo-Byzantine style, with wide arcades on the ground floor, the vertical facade broken down on the floors and decorative motifs elongated with arched openings. This motif, which takes its origin from the Serbo-Byzantine style, emphasis is on the corner and opposed to the formal qualities of late modernism - marble facade wraps, rows of rectangular windows on the top floor and the heavy canopy to the ground. At the top of the building originally was in sculpture Sime Igumanova the orphans, the sculptor Lojze Dolinar.
