The James Whitcomb Riley Old Home and Museum are owned by the City of Greenfield and operated by the Parks and Recreation Department. The Old Home, birthplace and boyhood home of the famed "Hoosier Poet", will take you back to life in the 1850's and '60's. The museum provides an opportunity to view many original works of Mr. Riley and visit the gift shop.

The Old Home and Museum are located at 250 W. Main Street. Both are open for visitation from April 5-November 6, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. (closed Sundays and major holidays). Tours are lead by the Riley Home Hostesses. School groups are welcome! For more information or to schedule a group tour, call (317) 462-8539 during open dates, (317) 477-4340 any other time.
