The Port of Qingdao's QQCT operates eleven container berths that can support sixth-generation mega-vessels carrying more than ten thousand TEUs. This Port of Qingdao terminal covers 556 acres (2.25 million square meters) and has a minimum depth of 17.5 meters (57.4 feet). Total length of berths is 3.4 thousand meters (11.1 thousand feet), and total annual container throughput is 6.5 million TEUs.

Located on the Pacific shores of the Port of Qingdao, the QQCT is an important hub for international transportation and for transshipment in Shandong Province and throughout the Yellow River Delta. QQCT is equipped with 37 super post-Panamax container gantry cranes and over 100 rubber-tyred gantries.
