place with historical importance, interesting place
In December 1941, the area between Żelazna, Leszno and Grzybowska Streets was excluded from the ghetto, thus dividing it in the so-called Little and Big Ghetto. To provide traffic between both parts, in January 1942 a wooden bridge called a "catwalk" was erected over Chłodna Street near its junction with Żelazna Street. The overpass was in use until the "Little Ghetto" was liquidated in July 1942.
