Piazza delle Erbe, more properly known as Piazza Andrea Costa, is situated between Via Arco d'Augusto and Montevecchio Street in the old town of Fano (PU).
It was formed in 1912, which became free in space following the demolition in 1910 of the Convent of San Daniele. Earlier on plants of Fano is referred to as the Market Square, as it was transferred the weekly market in the nearby Piazza XX Settembre. Its the seaward side is bordered by a long building that houses a number of shops, originally in the form of a loggia. On the side of Via Arco d'Augusto the square is the fish market, in a building with an arcade downstairs.
In the square every day many vendors selling fruits, vegetables, various kinds regarding home and clothing.
