The bridge crosses the river called "Vallato del Porto", to the south of Fano (PU).
The current bridge masonry dates back to 1961. The previous one, made of wood, is depicted in the picture of the early 1900s, in which you can see its structure governed by palafitte.Il derives its name from having been at one time painted red. Previously it was called the Green Bridge.
