Fishari Canal (Locally Khal) (Chattogram)

Fishari Khal, once navigation was available in this canal. However, human encroachment (settlement) into this khal, siltation, not taken stepby the concerned authority were made this canal as dad canal. Thus result drainage congestion and water-logging is a common occurring event in this area and impacts the urban environment. Recently, Chittagong City Corporation (CCC) has taken step to recover this canal from illegal capture and dredging this canal. CCC has working to construct a 10 feet road in one side of this khal from Ashraf Ali Bridge Road to Karnaphuli River.
