The church is located north of the old town of Fano (PU) .
The complex was built in the period between 1281 and 1297 by the will of the Fathers of the Dominican preachers by a grant made to the same St. Dominic during his passage in Fano return from Toulouse to Rome around 1216. According to tradition, the church dedicated to Blessed Virgin of the Rosary, greeted the burial of Jacopo Del formwork immediately after he was assassinated , the trace of which is recognized in the masonry facade to the left of the portal. The church was subject to numerous alterations over the centuries. With the Napoleonic suppressions monks moved in Jesi and remained there permanently . The structure fell into decay until well in 1907 , I moved to the Benedictine nuns . In August 1944 , the church was damaged by the killing of the bell tower of the retreating Germans . The exterior has the typical appearance of a monastery church of the fourteenth century in central Italy. The facade pilasters and two angular buttresses , has a pattern hut. While the original façade was probably crowned by hanging arches , had a large rosette of which there are traces in the subsequent collision , and at the top , a single lancet window still open .
