Grade II* Listed (UK), redundant church
St Peter's Church, Allexton, is a redundant Anglican church in the village of Allexton, Leicestershire, England. It has been designated by English Heritage as a Grade II* listed building, and is under the care of the Churches Conservation Trust. The Norman arcade, dating to around 1160 and fabulously carved with zig-zags and lozenge shapes. This was rescued from serious decay and respectfully restored in 1862.
