St Giles' Church. Imber.

United Kingdom / England / Brotton /
church, Grade I Listed (UK), redundant church

The only fully original building still intact in the village. Although the village road is open during most of August and on a few public holidays, the church stays out of bounds for all but a few days a year, St Giles day (1 September) being one of them. This is a time when the few remaining original villagers and there reletives are allowed access to tend graves and atend a service held in the church.
As with the Baptist church site (to the west of the village) the 700 year old St Giles is surrounded by high wire fencing.
