Acropolis of ancient Nestani
On a small hill ("Panigyristra") by the village Nestani (Tsipiana), the ruins of the Acropolis of Ancient Nostias or Nosteas or Nestani. The town was one of the Municipalities of Ancient Mantineia.
The archaeological site includes remains Pelasgic wall and part of a tower. The enclosure of the wall had intermittently towers and enclosed an area of ​​six acres. Distinguished is the gate of the citadel of town. At the top of the hill there are five boulders who allegedly was the palace foundations. The small town flourished from the 5th to the 3rd century. p. x. The remains of the wall at the gate dating back to 465 BC The site is now open to visitors.
