The monastery is located to the east, just outside the village of Gualdo Tadino (PG) .
Located at the foot of Mount Serrasanta , about 600 m high , in a secluded area rich in springs , the Convent stands in the place formerly called " rocks " to the rocky nature of the soil in which they arose . Initially it was called " the Romite " for the ascetic life that you led the first Friars . In 1521 it passed to the Franciscan Friars Minor, who still reside there. It is a building with a square adjoining the church , the garden and the leafy forest . The Church renovated in 1629 , has a Baroque style . Many stucco and paintings , among which it is worth noting that the high altar depicting the Annunciation, by Avanzino Nucci from Gubbio in the 17th century. The Friars celebrate the divine office is on holidays than in weekdays at 11:30 to 15:15 , which is open to all the faithful . They hold retreats and prayer retreats self-managed , the Annunciation is celebrated on the last Sunday of August . The monastery offers accommodation from Easter to October , there are 100 beds in individual rooms and dormitories . The services are shared. Excellent is the kitchen of the Friars , specialties, are to be ordered tortellini , cannelloni of Brother Sun , noodles and roast .
