The monastery is located in the north-east, outside the village of Gualdo Tadino (PG).
The sanctuary is run by the Capuchin Friars Minor from 1564. Latter built the church and convent in the place where previously there was the church of St. Michael the Archangel, where before there were Benedictine Monks Hermits.
