This stone building was built in 1856 to make beer for the miners. The deep cellar held the beer.
Completely restored, today it houses a small publishing company called Volcano Press, and serves as a residence for the owner. The restoration was done by Dan Gottstein of Gottstein Construction, and a memorative plaque will be installed in February 2007, awarded by the Amador County Historical Society.
